How to Get to Ray Caye, Belize’s Private Island Escape

Getting to Ray Caye is a breeze, with direct international flights into Belize and a scenic connection to our private island by air and sea. Whether you’re coming from the U.S., Canada, or Latin America, your journey to paradise is straightforward—and absolutely worth it. 

Step 1: Fly to Belize (BZE)

Your international flight will land at Philip S.W. Goldson Belize International Airport (BZE), located just outside Belize City.

Step 2: Travel to Placencia

Once you arrive in Belize City, take a domestic flight to Placencia (PLJ) on Maya Island Air. The domestic airline terminal is located in Belize’s International Airport, you can find it after clearing customs and immigration.

Upon arrival in Placencia, our driver will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to our boat launch. You may have a brief wait depending on your arrival time—but with the beach nearby and Tutti Frutti gelato just down the road, you’ll find plenty to enjoy while you wait.

Step 3: Boat Transfer to Ray Caye

From Placencia, enjoy a scenic 1-hour boat ride to the island. The last boat departs at 3:00 PM, so please plan your international arrival accordingly.

• Individual Transfer: US$200 per person, round trip (+ 12.5% GST) Minimum of 2 persons required
• Group Rate (Whole Island Rentals): US$160 per person, round trip (+ 12.5% GST)
